ESDC Innovation lab.
I had the opportunity to work within the Government of Canada at the ESDC innovation lab. As the sole designer for the lab I was able to take a creative lead and establish the visual identity. I created workshop materials, custom illustrations, and graphic elements to help deliver the message of the labs work. The Innovation Lab was established to gain end user perspective to better serve Canadians with programs and services.
Red Tape and Ladders was a game created to outline the enablers and barriers of innovation within Government. The red tape would be a set back or delay that one would normally experience within the public sector, while the ladders would be something that would enable you to move forward with your project. The game was created for public servants to play at innovation fairs and events as a fun spin on working within government. I created the layout and the graphics for the game and brought it to life. I wanted to create something fun and playful yet still get the message across.
