So I thought I would put together a post about some of my favourite products at the moment. I love fresh makeup, especially in the warmer months because there’s nothing worse than having your makeup sweat right off. So here are some of the products I’ve had on the go for the past month:
I’m not usually one to spend a million dollars on makeup, because I’d rather buy clothes, or food… so I usually get a lot of my products from the drugstore. Covergirl has always been one of my favourite drug store brands, and I’m loving their new tru blend blush! I got the lightest one (because I’m pale AF), but it also comes in 2 darker shades. I love how it’s a subtle blush with a hint of a shimmer.
Lately I’ve been using the Covergirl Tru Blend face primer for dry skin before applying my makeup. The product is really creamy, and applies smoothly to your skin. I’ve used some primers in the past that were pretty oily, but this one isn’t at all and makes foundation application much smoother. So far I’m liking the product, and it’s really inexpensive which is great.
In the summer I love to wear a good BB cream, because it’s just so much more lightweight on your skin. I have been using the Covergirl clean matte BB cream in 510 fair for the past month or so and I actually love this cream. I have tried a few different drugstore BB creams, but I like this one the best. It dries on your skin matte and smoothly and gives great coverage for being so lightweight. This is literally my go-to everyday for work when I don’t want to do a full makeup application.
This is always one of my favourite foundations. If I’m going to splurge on makeup then it’s going to be for this product. I love how it lightweight yet still provides awesome coverage. The foundation is also amazing for picture and videos, it really makes your skin look amazing.
I actually use the covergirl cover stick as a highlighter. Once I apply my BB cream or foundation I will use this under my eyes, on my forehead, and anywhere else I want to highlight. I buy the lightest colour for the full highlight effect. It’s definitely a great inexpensive drugstore alternative for getting that highlight/contour look! I do also buy a darker shade for contouring.
I’ve been using the Anastasia brow gel to keep my brows in check all day. I will usually pencil in my eyebrows and then finish off with this product. It works great, and it doesn’t dry too crunchy, or glossy.
NUME actually sent me this product, but I would purchase it again! I love this serum. I usually apply a small amount to my hair after it’s freshly washed and dried. My hair can look kind of frizzy and wild a bit when it’s dried and this just smooths it out nicely and brings some life back into it.
Those are currently my favourite products on the go! I’d love to hear some of your favourite as well 🙂
