A new season is just a new excuse to go shopping – am I right? I put together a head to toe transitional fall outfit from Place D’Orleans that really plays with a natural colour scheme.
I think a lot of people are scared to wear neutral tones once the weather starts getting a little bit colder, but you can definitely rock them all year round and fall is no exception, which is why the outfit I picked out for “Fall for a Fabulous Find’ is neutral, comfortable, and chic.
The first piece I found was definitely the statement piece of the whole outfit – the suede jacket from H&M ($79.99). The second I walked into the store my eyes were drawn to it, and I knew I had to have it so I built an outfit around that. The next piece I found was the skirt ($39.99). I love how the top and skirt have similar colour tones and pair so nicely together. For my accessories I decided to keep them all black to add a bit of contrast to the outfit (and I’m obsessed with black). The shoes ($79.99) I purchased are gorgeous lace up flats, which I found at The Bay, and they’re so on trend right now! I also found the black purse ($99.99) with gold detailing at The Bay, and they were having a sale so I got it $20 off (score). Lastly I got some black and gold earrings ($9.99) from Spring, and black sunglasses ($16) from Aldo.
To showcase my outfit I had a photoshoot at Mer Bleue in Orleans. This is such a gorgeous trail, and a must see for anyone living in the Ottawa area. We were down there around sunset and it was absolutely stunning and so peaceful. It’s the perfect spot to go for an after dinner walk around the trail, to hang out with family or friends, or even just relax and take in the scenery. I love getting outside in a quiet space with nature around, it’s such a great break from the city.
