Fall to Winter Beauty Essentials and Favourites

winter beauty essentials

Fall and winter weather can be so drying on your skin and your hair. So I decided to compile a few products that I’ve been using lately to help combat the drying seasons and keep my skin and my hair feeling healthy and moisturized. …Oh and of course I thought I’d share a few of my favourite fall/winter lip colours!

1. Favourite Lip Shades

I am a major sucker for liquid lipsticks, and these are a few of my favourite colours this season:

fall lipstick colours

A | Kylie ‘Dolce K’

This has been one of my favourite shades for about a year now. I’ve heard a lot of people saying that her matte liquid lipsticks are a bit drying but I personally like to use a lip chap first and then apply the lipstick on top.

B | Stila ‘Biscotti’

This shade is absolutely stunning – I always get tons of compliments when I wear it. It is very similar to the Dolce K shade but this one has more of a brown undertone and Dolce K has more red.

C | Stila ‘Notte’

All that comes to my mind for this colour is va-va-voom lol! This shade is like a dark plum colour – love it!

2. Marc Anthony Hydrating Coconut Oil

This coconut oil made my list because I love how it’s a spray! I used to do coconut oil hair masks but I found that my hair would have more fall out after rinsing the mask out. With the spray I only use a little bit towards the ends of my hair ( I don’t use it on the root ), and it really helps to smooth out any fizziness and keep your hair looking more luscious and moisturized!

3. Saturday Skin Quench Hydration Mask

There’s nothing I love more than taking a hot show and chilling in my sweats on a cold night. This mask is the perfect addition to a pamper night in this fall/winter. I like to use it after a shower because my skin is freshly cleansed, and then I will apply the mask for 20 minutes and then remove it. You don’t was your face after but just gently tap anything left into your skin! I always feel like a million bucks after a face mask.

4. Saturday Skin Freeze Frame

I recently ran out of my other moisturizer so I thought I would give this one a go since Saturday Skin sent me a few of their products to try. It feels like more of a gel moisturizer than a cream one, but I really like it. The scent is nice and fresh – almost like pomegranate or lemons. It doesn’t sit heavy on your skin, and it absorbs quickly.

5. Olay Eyes Deep Hydrating Eye Gel

This is another gel moisturizer. I usually apply eye cream under my eye as well as below my brow. This cream feels very fresh and cooling to the skin. I like to apply this after the Saturday Skin Freeze Frame in the evening before I go to bed.
